Measurement time in our EMC chambers
Many people search for an EMC chamber to rent. What you get with us is measurement time with engineering support: we measure with you, put the results into context and follow up anomalies straight away.

Measurement time with support, not bare room hire
An anechoic chamber on its own does not solve an EMC problem. What matters is that the setup is right, that the correct operating states are measured and that the values are then read correctly.
That is why one of our team is always there. They set the test up with you, run the measurement and, if something stands out, go after the cause with near-field investigations right away.
What you end up with is not just a booked hour in a hall, but a status you can rely on for your development.

What can be booked
Our two test environments together form the EMC capability portfolio of EMC Labs. The appropriate environment and test setup depend on the test method, device under test, supply requirements, setup and engineering question.
Fully anechoic chamber, Harbke
Test environment up to 10 GHz
- up to 10 GHz
- up to 3 m
- 4 × 4 × 8 m (H × W × L)
- 0–60 V, up to 10 A
- three-phase, up to 32 A
- approximately 22 kVA
Shielded chamber, Meine
Complementary shielded test environment
- single-phase, up to 16 A
- up to 60 V, 10 A
Besides accompanied measurement time we offer further EMC services, from consulting to root cause analysis.
Frequently asked questions
Can I rent an EMC chamber from you?
You can book measurement time in our test centres. We do not, however, let them as bare room hire: on every measurement one of our people is present, supporting the setup, running the measurement and putting the results into context with you. That is part of the service and cannot be deselected.
Which measurements are possible?
Radiated and conducted emissions, immunity testing, ESD, surge and burst as well as near-field investigations – covered across both test environments. The fully anechoic chamber in Harbke measures up to 10 GHz at an antenna distance of up to 3 m. In the shielded chamber in Meine, near-field investigations, ESD, surge and burst as well as conducted immunity tests are possible.
How large may the device under test be?
The chamber dimensions in Harbke are 4 × 4 × 8 m (height × width × length) – this is not the maximum device size, which depends on the setup and is agreed per project. The supply there is DC 0–60 V up to 10 A and AC three-phase up to 32 A; in Meine DC 0–60 V up to 10 A and single-phase AC up to 16 A.
What does measurement time cost?
That depends on the test scope, the number of operating states and the setup effort. We prepare a quotation once we know your device and your question – please describe both in your enquiry.
How quickly can I get an appointment?
Short-notice appointments are possible depending on our workload. Tell us your timeframe in the enquiry and we will come back with a concrete proposal.
Are the measurements accredited?
No. Our measurements are pre-compliance measurements and not accredited tests. They show the EMC status under documented conditions and prepare a later external test.
